8:00am - 12:00 - Intro to Kinesiotaping
Included will be history, theory, and anatomy,
physiology, Kinesiology and pathology of Kinesio Taping.
10:00 - 10:20 - Break
12:00 - 1:00 pm – Group lunch
1:00 pm - 4:00 pm – Muscle Taping techniques
Muscle Taping techniques
- Trapezius
- Supraspinatus
- Latissmus dorsi
- Biceps brachii
- Triceps brachii
- Infraspinatus
- Quadriceps
- Hamstrings
3:00 pm - 3:20 pm - Break
4:00 pm - 5:00 pm – Question and answer
Day 2: 9am-5pm
8:00 am - 12:00 pm - Review basic Kinesiotaping concepts.
Review Corrective techniques including functional,
mechanical, lymphatic, space, tendon/ligament and fascial
corrections.
10:00 am - 10:20 am - Break
12:00 pm -1:00 pm – Group lunch
1:00 pm - 4:00 pm – Lower extremity anatomy and biomechanics
Taping of the lumbopelvic spine, hip girdle, thigh, leg,
ankle and foot. Specific conditions addressed but not
limited to will be:
- Lumbar sprain /strain
- Piriformis syndrome
- Sciatica
- Hamstring strains
- Patella tracking
- Patella tendonitis
- Shin splints
- Bunions
3:00 pm - 3:20 pm - Break
4:00 pm - 5:00 pm – Question and answer
Day 3: 9am-1pm
9:00 am - 11:00 am – Upper extremity anatomy and biomechanics
Taping of the upper extremity and cervical spine.
Specific conditions addressed but not limited to will be:
- Rotator cuff syndrome
- Cervical sprain/strain
- Upper cross syndrome
- Bicep tendonitis/subluxation
- Medial and lateral epicondylitis
- Carpal Tunnel Syndrome
Break: 11:00-11:20
11:20-1pm – Clinical taping
Sports injury taping will include
- Golf injuries
Orthopedic injuries
- Flexion extension injury (whiplash)
Neurological conditions
- Thoracic outlet syndrome
